Powerboating Courses

As an RYA Training Centre, Burton Sailing Club offers powerboating courses according to the RYA's Powerboat Scheme.

Our introductory course combines RYA Powerboat Levels 1 and 2. This course is suitable for the complete beginner, and we strongly encourage our club members (as well as non-members) to complete this course in order to be able to help out with club activities.

We also offer the RYA Safety Boat course, which covers more advanced techniques regarding recovery of people and craft, such as may be useful in a club racing environment. Level 2 is a pre-requisite for this course.

You can find more information about the RYA's portfolio of powerboating courses via their website, here.

If the course you are interested in is full or the dates are not convenient, you can register your interest with the training team, and we will contact you if new courses become available.
